The juiciest oven baked chicken breast

Ingredients:

- 2 chicken breast

- 1/4 cup of butter melted

- 1 tsp dried basil

- 1 tsp dried rosemary

- 1/2 tsp garlic and mustard powder

- 1/2 tsp paprika, and dried thyme

- pinch of black pepper and salt

- 1/4 tsp celery seed, and dried parsley

- 1/8 ground cumin and cayenne pepper




Tip: if you are bad at time management like me and forgot to defrost the chicken in time.. if you boil your chicken for 20 min in a chicken broth at medium-high heat it somewhat acts as a brine and you can fully cook your chicken until you reach an internal temp of 165*F. Then you can grill, saute, fry, or bake your chicken until you get that nice char. Kinda like reverse searing your steak.. but for chicken?

Steps:

- preheat oven to 450*F

- prep a bowl on the side that mixes all the dry seasonings so you don't cross-contaminate

- place chicken breast on a lined cookie sheet

- massage or brush the first layer of melted butter and sprinkle chicken seasoning lightly (you wanna save at least half of it for the second round of coating)

- bake chicken at 450*F for 10 min and remove from oven to reapply seasoning and butter then place back into oven for another 10 min. The first is an internal temperature of 165*F or crusted skin, depending on whether you boiled your chicken first or not.
