Simple Pastillas De Leche

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of condense milk

  • 2.5 cups sifted Nido dried milk (may need more depending on texture)

  • 1 cup Granulated sugar

  • Approx 2 ft of cellophane for wrapping

Suggested add on ingredients:

  • 3-4 drops ube flavoring

  • 3-4 drops Pandan flavoring

  • 1 tsp calamansi

  • Food coloring for events like Easter 🐣

Steps:

  1. Precut your cellophane into 5x inch squares

  2. Pour your granulated sugar on to a separate plate

  3. Pour your one can of condense milk into a large bowl and fold in your dried milk until it creates a cookie dough texture. Soft yet firm.

  4. Take about 1 table spoon of dough and roll it into balls or cylinders and roll each into the graduated sugar until it evenly coats it

  5. Wrapping your candies: make sure the wrapper looks like a diamond and place your pastillas de leche horizontally or in the center of the wrapper then twist both lateral sides or twist once similar to a dumpling

  6. I highly suggest to keep it cold until serving since it may melt
